It began with a friendship.

Partners 4 New Hope, Inc. was born out of friendship and trust. Bill and Wanda Musgrave of North Carolina, first met Dr. Eugene during their trips to Haiti with Providence United Methodist Church. Each trip, Dr. Eugene worked alongside Bill and Wanda as their participated in relief work across the country — and over the years, they formed an unbreakable friendship.

“I trust him with my life every time I go there,” says Wanda. “And he trusts me with his life, as well.”

In 2013, Dr. Eugene shared his dream to open a hospital in the Plaine du Nord region, where 250,000 people were in desperate need of accessible medical care.

Being the vibrant leader he is, Dr. Eugene had many dedicated supporters across the world who wanted to make New Hope Hospital a reality. Bill and Wanda saw a need for a way to organize the funding, form partnerships, and share the story. Together, they formed Partners 4 New Hope to meet this need. A few years later, thanks to generous supporters like you, New Hope Hospital opened its doors.

Today, Partners 4 New Hope helps to manage finances, partnerships, and administration tasks for Dr. Eugene, freeing him up to focus on his work as a doctor serving hundreds of patients a day. With each new year, that foundational core of friendship is what strengthens Partners 4 New Hope and brings continued success to New Hope Hospital.

“We practice relationship ministry. We believe it is our mission to fund projects that can be done with Haitian labor to support their economy. When we travel to Haiti, we go to build on these relationships and assure our Haitian partners we will always return to be in ministry with them,” says Wanda.

We’ve made incredible progress, but the need is still great. Would you consider being a part of our work at Partners 4 New Hope?
